Why Private Pay
I chose to build this practice outside the insurance model for a reason. Insurance-based therapy often requires specific diagnoses and standardized treatment approaches in order to be reimbursed. That framework can limit the flexibility a therapist has to truly meet a child where they are.
At Freeform Studio, I work with each child based on who they are — their full, unique blend of strengths, struggles, and experiences — rather than fitting them into a diagnostic category. Private pay gives me the freedom to use the creative, expressive, and developmentally responsive approaches that are actually the best fit for each child, not just the ones a system approves.
Many families choose private pay because they're looking for a therapist with a specific specialty and a strong fit for their child. That specificity and flexibility is what this model is designed to protect.
Good Faith Estimate
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining the expected cost of your medical and mental health care. A Good Faith Estimate will be provided in accordance with applicable requirements.
Cancellation Policy
Please provide at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations and missed appointments may be charged according to the practice policy provided during intake.
